About
Us
Friends for Responsible Pet Care was founded by
a group of animal lovers concerned about pet overpopulation in Delaware.
We are a non-profit, tax-exempt organization dedicated to making
a difference in the lives of animals.
Our Mission is to:
Reduce pet
overpopulation through education and spay/neuter initiatives.
Encourage
and promote responsible pet ownership and humane treatment of domestic
companion animals.
Improve the welfare of domestic companion animals.
We have responded to the need, from other organizations, for feral
cat traps, money for spay/neuter surgeries, and funds to help operate
clinics.
FRPC is hoping to expand it's efforts by initiating specific spay/neuter
programs. These programs will be used as a proactive way to reach
out to the community, and those in need of low cost spay/neuter
options.
Groups
we have supported to increase the number of animals neutered:
Delaware
Humane Association to offer free Neuter Days
with their van, & Spay Day USA 2006 initiative
Forgotten
Cats to purchase surgical equipment
for their new spay/neuter clinic, and for surgeries for feral cats
Homeless
Cat Helpers to neuter large feral cat colonies
Historic
Lewes Cat Society to assist with costs for their
new spay/ neuter clinic
Animal

colony
