About Us

Friends for Responsible Pet Care was founded by a group of animal lovers concerned about pet overpopulation in Delaware. We are a non-profit, tax-exempt organization dedicated to making a difference in the lives of animals.

Our Mission is to:

  • Reduce pet overpopulation through education and spay/neuter initiatives.

  • Encourage and promote responsible pet ownership and humane treatment of domestic companion animals.

  • Improve the welfare of domestic companion animals.
  •

We have responded to the need, from other organizations, for feral cat traps, money for spay/neuter surgeries, and funds to help operate clinics.

FRPC is hoping to expand it's efforts by initiating specific spay/neuter programs. These programs will be used as a proactive way to reach out to the community, and those in need of low cost spay/neuter options.

Groups we have supported to increase the number of animals neutered:

  • Delaware Humane Association to offer free Neuter Days with their van, & Spay Day USA 2006 initiative

  • Forgotten Cats to purchase surgical equipment for their new spay/neuter clinic, and for surgeries for feral cats

  • Homeless Cat Helpers to neuter large feral cat colonies

  • Historic Lewes Cat Society to assist with costs for their new spay/ neuter clinic

  • Animal Rescue & Adoption to purchase surgical packs for their new spay/neuter van

  • Milton Cat Snippers to neuter a large feral cat colony

  • Faithful Friends for their cat trapping program, and free cat spay day

  • If your NONPROFIT group would like to request spay/neuter funds, please call or email us for a form. We regret we cannot provide funds for individuals.
